The Principality of Zeon is at war with the Earth Federation. On September 18, 0079, Zeon Lt. Commander Char Aznable leads a raid on the space colony of Side 7. There, he discovers the Earth Federation’s new weapon, the RX-78-2 Gundam, abandoned. He then decides to steal it for himself, setting in motion a domino effect that forever changes history as we know it. Five years later, in the independent colony of Side 6, a young Newtype girl finds herself caught up in the search for the missing RX-78-2 Gundam. Soon, events conspire to place her in the pilot’s seat of the new prototype Gundam GQuuuuuuX and to participate in underground mobile suit fighting competitions. Surrounded by new friends, she tries to understand her strange powers and find her place in the world, dreaming of the skies where she can fly free.
